A Phobia is an irrational and excessive fear regarding certain objects or situations. Phobias can cause anxiety or fear that does not allow an individual to carry out their daily activities. More commonly a Phobia is a dislike or hatred of a certain subject.
In this post I will list several Phobias which I think are strange and/or interesting. Feel free to comment and add Phobias which you think should be on here. Definitions are from wikipedia and phobialist.
Ablutophobia: Fear of bathing, washing, or cleaning.
Agyrophobia: The fear of crossing the road.
Anthophobia: Fear of flowers.
Apeirophobia: Fear of infinity.
Atychiphobia: Fear of failure.
Barophobia: Fear of gravity.
Cacophobia: Fear of ugliness.
Cathisophobia: Fear of sitting.
Chaetophobia: Fear of hair.
Coulrophobia: Fear of clowns.
Defecaloesiophobia: Fear of painful bowels movements.
Dendrophobia: Fear of trees.
Dentophobia: Fear of dentists.

Doxophobia: Fear of expressing opinions or of receiving praise.
Eisoptrophobia: Fear of mirrors or of seeing oneself in a mirror.
Epistemophobia: Fear of knowledge.
Euphobia: Fear of hearing good news.
Geliophobia: Fear of laughter.
Hellenologophobia: Fear of Greek terms or complex scientific terminology.
Hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia: Fear of the number 666.
Hyalophobia: Fear of glass.
Ithyphallophobia: Fear of seeing, thinking about or having an erect penis.
Koinoniphobia: Fear of rooms.
Koniophobia: Fear of dust.
Lachanophobia: Fear of vegetables.
Linonophobia: Fear of string.
Mechanophobia: Fear of machines.
Mythophobia: Fear of myths or stories or false statements.
Neophobia: Fear of anything new.
Ombrophobia: Fear of rain or of being rained on.
Oneirogmophobia: Fear of wet dreams.
Optophobia: Fear of opening one's eyes.
Panophobia or Pantophobia: Fear of everything.
Peladophobia: Fear of bald people.
Phobophobia: Fear of phobias.
Phronemophobia: Fear of thinking.
Samhainophobia: Fear of Halloween.
Selenophobia: Fear of the moon.
Technophobia: Fear of technology.
You wouldn't wanna be near someone with Ablutophobia. I'm pretty sure Fox News viewers have either Phronemophobia or Epistemophobia.
